WFH is not just work from home, it’s Wellness for Humans, and this is how Digital Impressions looks at it. We have implemented this module, not only because the lockdown guidelines have made us to, but because we care for our employees before anything else, and deem them assets, not just workers. Though we abide by the mainstream trends of the society, we are bit old school and go by the old saying “Health is Wealth”.
Digital Impressions is 50 people strong, with a physical presence for more than a decade now. Agency encompasses services from helping clients achieve an online presence with a website, to getting sales after that by virtue of digital Marketing. Moreover, keeping the website in shape requires maintenance , and this is also a service that digital Impressions renders.
We cannot deny the hardships “Work from home” brings to us, and is not a piece of cake at all. It lowers the efficiency, augments lethargy. But since, this is the only way out to work; we all have to fight this uphill battel.
Digital Impressions is keeping up with “Work from Home” by abiding to its own developed Modus operandi.
Like we all know, the major challenges in working from home is that it lacks the office environment because no one is doled up in their formals, no one is ensconced upright in their chairs. The bottom-line; the feel of office is missing.
No matter how hard we try, we all are somehow affected by the home environment wherein the proclivity to apathy surges every second of the day. To surmount that feeling, DI has all the members lined up, hooked onto a common zoom call throughout the day. This isn’t about ensuring that everyone is working; we know we all are working hard. This is just to simulate an office environment; the intermittent chit chats, indulging everyone in the daily stand-up meeting, and checking on each and every employee by the HR keeps everyone on their toes and forbid them slouch on their tables and doze off throughout the day. If someone has some important stuff to do, and they are being disturbed by other employee’s confabulation, they put the meeting on mute, and keep their work going.
Now the most important aspect of any business is handling “Clients”. Fortunately, Di has been offering impeccable client service by the virtue of different rooms made on zoom. The client experiences as if they have entered the office premises for real. The client gets to the reception, the host of the zoom meeting lets the client in, and the client is directed to respective rooms where they meet their team, and they get to discuss without any interference from the rest of the team members.
Another major step taken in this regards is that, the daily stand-up meeting is bifurcated as per the departments in the company. The meeting is taken by prioritizing which department needs utmost care and attention.
Meeting begins with the marketing team. From knowing the status of the sales, conversions for their existing clients, to the status of implementation of marketing strategies for their new clients, to the impediments being faced, everything in and out is discussed between the marketing team, Marketing Managers, and the founder of the company. This enables each and everyone be abreast with the status and changes if any. The best part is, the founder of the company is throughout involved in each and every meeting. This spurs the team to work even harder and keep them on their toes.
On the commencement of meetings for their respective department, the tasks for the day are assigned and just before the end of the day, it is checked by the respective managers. This helps them keep a track of the work, and gauge the efficiency of the employees.
Multiple breaks throughout the day are provided to help employees relax and get back to work exuberantly. They get the leeway to snack, have their lunch whenever they want. All they have to do is shoot a text with the same and exit the meeting.
Whatsapp is predominantly used. If there is some communication gap on zoom, a group has been made on Whatsapp, and anyone can text on that and get the message across. Apart from that, sharing photos, screenshots help the team work expeditiously.
Over here, Surprisingly WFM is not taking toll on the work and business as Digital Impressions reckons that being flexible, considerate and accommodating make this mode of work propitious to one and all.
Digital Impressions feel proud to reveal that the efficacy, quality of work have been same ever since the inception of “WFM”. We, at DI have proven that, though WFM is arduous, it is not insurmountable, and this is chalked up to a well in sync Team work.
